Preparing & Practicing Your Faith-Based Presentations
Course focus: This workshop focuses on giving tools and presentation best practices for presenting faith-based messages to groups.
Participants learn how to:
- Align with God’s heart and purposes through Purposeful Prayer
- Organize an audience focused message that opens the hearts and minds of their listener(s)
- Keep the listener(s) interested and engaged in a way that encourages them to respond to God
- Share God’s story thru their life stories
- Deliver their messages with confidence
Curriculum Approach:
By applying the L.O.V.E. principles described below to their messages, participants will learn to focus on what’s important and feel more confident in sharing their information to God’s glory. In the workshop we will do an activity around each of these principles.
- Listen

- Participants learn that one way to align with God’s heart and purposes for the audience is through Purposeful Prayer.
- Participants learn through Isaiah 55:11 that God’s word does not return void.
- Organize

- Participants will learn why and how Jesus used stories to create readiness and receptive insight.
- Participants learn that structure helps both the speaker and the listener(s) to stay focused on what’s important.
- Participants learn how to keep their listener(s) interested and engaged in a way that encourages them to respond to God.
- Validate

- Our hearts and minds are opened when we feel validated as a listener. We will look at how Jesus approached validating his listener(s).
- Participants learn three ways to acknowledge their listeners and invite them into the story.
- Participants will gain an understanding that when we start with the relationship, we can share our faith in a more relevant way with our listeners.

- We all have stories that express God’s love and interactions with us; participants will be introduced to a tool that helps them discover their stories.
- Participants learn strategies for overcoming nervousness and delivering their messages within their style.
