Mary Ann Mariani
Mary Ann has spent the last 10 years coaching professionals on behalf of 2Connect in the area of presentation skills. She has worked with a variety of people in organizations such as HGTV, the Food Network, Johnson & Johnson, Genentech, Life Technologies, UCSD and others.
My Story
In 2008 God placed upon her heart that she could help in the effort to equip His people to become more comfortable and confident in giving voice to His glory. God has been equipping her over the past 20 years to be able to bring ideas, tools and models to those interested in enhancing their ability to share faith messages in a way that engages the listener and opens their hearts to God.
In preparing Mary Ann to for this effort, God has been amazing in putting the right people in her path to developing the curriculum for the L.O.V.E. workshops. This has truly been a collaborative effort over the last two years. Lisa Newmeyer, of Breakthru2U, helped design the Listening Prayer module. Diane West, owner of 2Connect, contributed to the Organize Your Content and the Enjoy Sharing and Living Your Story sections. Ruth Varney and Lisa Thomas, fellow trainers, contributed to the Validate Your Audience section. Mary Rumsey, Paula and Rand Mulford and several others also mentored her during the content development process.
Professional Background
In addition to Mary Ann’s experience with 2Connect she is a resource trainer for Tamayo Consulting and The Ken Blanchard Companies. Prior to her becoming an independent resource trainer, she was the Global Director of Employee Training and Development for Vignette Corporation. Prior to Vignette, Mary Ann held the role of Advanced Training Specialist in Organizational Learning at Electronic Data Systems (EDS) assigned to international business units.
Home Church
Mary Ann currently attends La Jolla Community Church (LJCC) in University Town Center, California. This is where the Kingdom Presenters workshops began. Several members of the congregation had asked for ideas that would better prepare them to share their faith messages on behalf of either the church or an outreach program benefiting the Christian community. The first session was held in May of 2008 and many more followed from there.
She resides in San Diego with her husband Don and daughter Jordan.
